Hello. I'm Collin. I am currently completing my doctoral studies in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Cincinnati. 

My research concerns engineering contributions to scientific progress. In particular, I aim to develop a framework for capturing the unique epistemic achievements of engineering through the philosophical concept of Maker's Knowledge. Putting this framework into practice, I examine how robotics engineering played and continues to play a crucial role in the development of embodied cognitive science. 

I also work on the history of philosophy of science, especially William Whewell and Rudolf Carnap.

Before academia, I worked as an R&D engineer in reproductive genomics, a pipeline mechanic in the Bakken Oilfield of North Dakota, and a baker at Momofuku Milk Bar.
